About the Author
K’Anne Meinel pronounced Kay Ann My Null, is an American author born and raised in Wisconsin. While she has lived in Central and Southern California, she has always returned 'home' to roost. K'Anne professes to write books that she would like to read and through her novels, novellas, and her short stories has grown into a writer who is willing to expand her horizons. She fearlessly steps out of her comfort zone in order to allow the reader to taste through her words, experiences of her life. Her first book SHIPS was written in 2003, but bits of it were re-written off and on for the next eight years before she self-published it and then was approached by a publisher. Short stories joined her 'bill of fare' in 2011 purely as a personal mind exercise. 2011 also saw the beginning of a series of books which all include 'Malice' in their titles. This deliciously gripping series leaves the reader suspended, starving, and craving more. Now with over seventy titles to her credit, K'Anne can truly claim to be an established author. Several years ago K’Anne created Shadoe Publishing in order to showcase her books under a publishing logo and house. Many outlets will not accept independently self-published books. Shadoe Publishing met that need and allowed K’Anne to use skills in running a company that she had acquired over twenty-five years with running other companies. In other words, to market and showcase new and upcoming authors. Shadoe Publishing has expanded since its inception and includes more than a couple dozen other authors who have used K’Anne time and skills under the Shadoe Publishing brand to promote their works. K’Anne has no intention of being the ‘biggest’ publisher of LGBT works, but she does intend to be the most supportive and the most successful in the unique atmosphere that she has created for her authors. K'Anne is the Mistress of sarcasm, double entendre, and has a wicked tongue-in-cheek humor that many find addictive. She has a way with words. Her descriptions become visions in your mind. Her words fuel your imagination. Befriend or ‘like’ her on Facebook, Twitter and keep up with her books, stories, and career. There is sure to be something you'll enjoy. Punctuation is a Writer's Best Friend...when it's used...
By StephJean47
This is not the first time I've taken a chance on a new author based on the good reviews only to realize the reviews are very misleading. This book is a mess. I bought it as a kindle gift for my girlfriend and since she claimed it, it cannot be returned, unfortunately. So I'd recommend thinking twice before buying into the reviews for it. I'm seriously wondering if they read the same book? I couldn't get past the first few chapters. The missing punctuation was mind-boggling. It makes for a difficult read of run-on sentences, and there is way too much description...down to every last detail of what Amy is doing or even eating. Neither one of us wanted to continue reading. The book needs some major editing and proofreading. I'm sure it could be much better and more readable, but as is...it's just not worth the headache.

Needs Serious Editing
By A Customer
Would not recommend this book. The story is all right but there is way too much detail. It's like there was a minimum word requirement to be fulfilled. Also, the writer seemed to forget the names of the two main characters as at least twice the wrong name was used in direct reference to the person. I applaud the writer putting a piece of themselves out there, but I would suggest finding an editor.

Love & Mystery in a Small Town
By Jacqueline Higgins
Amy is a mysterious, but friendly stranger to the folks in tiny Northpoint, Wisconsin when she arrives on a Greyhound bus! She reveals nothing about her previous life when asked!
Abby is the single small town sheriff of Northpoint & she is drawn to Amy, who buys her rundown grandparents store!
This is a sweet little small town romance with the mystery of Amy's previous life looming over it, threatening their love, that is just beginning to surface!! I have it 5 stars!
