About the Author
Suzanne Welander began canoeing in 1999. Since then, she has completed hundreds of trips exploring Georgia s diverse streams or eddy-hopping down the Ocoee in her whitewater canoe. She has a special passion for wilderness, stoked by multi-day self-supported canoe trips in remote parts of Alaska, Canada, Montana, and Arizona, in addition to canoe-camping getaways in wild corners of Georgia. Suzanne s curiosity continually draws her to explore sections of rivers she has not yet paddled and to monitor the changes at those she revisits. She s also a half-decent whitewater canoe slalom racer. When she isn t paddling or writing about rivers, Suzanne works for a North Georgia organic farm and plays saxophone in the Seed and Feed Marching Abominable. Suzanne lives in Atlanta with her husband who's also an avid canoeist, their young son, and a small flock of chickens.
Veteran paddler Bob Sehlinger has led canoeing trips throughout eastern North America and is the former president of the Eastern Professional River Outfitters Association. He is the creator of the Unofficial Guide travel series and a recipient of the Lowell Thomas Gold Award for journalistic excellence. Founder and publisher of Menasha Ridge Press, Sehlinger lives in Birmingham, AL, where he enjoys mountain biking and playing the drums.

This is the worst publication on this subject I have seen so far

This is the worst publication on this subject I have seen so far. It does not have directions how to get to the landings, GPS coordinates is the only reference and it is not enough and is not helpful. I will have to look for another book.

Staples should win awards for her artwork

After a brief dip in the writing (but not the art), this volume returns Saga to its rightful place in the 5-star comics hierarchy. We are over five years past the start of the story - after a period of separation, the nuclear family has been reunited. Hazel is 5 years old. War, death, constant movement, betrayal, and bad decisions (so really, regret) are the thematic cornerstones of this series. That holds true for volume 7 as well.

Ms. Staples has done a fantastic job in the artwork in every volume of this series. She draws the various alien bodies adroitly. She does a nice job constructing worlds, but her strength is in facial expressions and the emotions that she wishes them to convey. The art is beautifully colored.

In interviews, Mr. Vaughan said he wrote these series partly for his wife, who had a hard time following comic stories and the movement of panels (Saga is very easy to follow, so is a good book for new comic readers to pick up (though it is for mature audiences due to language, nudity and violence). Now 40, Mr. Vaughan is using Saga to explore couple and family dynamics. These include communication (including breakdowns and fights), loss, regret, loyalty, passion, anxiety, and obligation. The topics he is covering now would not be covered by a 25 year old writer. He is allowing the experience of life to alter what he writes about. Bravo.

Dark, grim, but good

I think the superlatives surrounding this comic are probably as well deserved as ever. The humor, art, and diversity of characters continues to keep this book at the top of the ranks.

My complaint for this book, even more so than previous volumes, is the sledgehammer of personal politics that the author bashes over your head at every opportunity. The analogies to global politics and social issues are so thinly veiled that he might as well have a talk show on cable TV. having said that, if you agree with his world view, I'm sure that this comic is the best thing in the universe.

As far as this volume is concerned, I enjoyed the march towards an inevitable conlusion: the more characters you introduce, the more you must eventually cull. I wasn't sold on Rogue One until the last fifteen minutes of that movie. Similarly, I didn't know how much I liked this story arc until the last couple pages and then I was satisfied with the direction we went with these issues. The last volume seemed to almost have had a natural conclusion for the book and this volume managed to wrap an entire story in its pages and yet set up possibilities for the future.

Saga 7 is a return to form for one of the best stories going in comics today.

Though darker than previous installments, Saga 7 never loses the humor or inventiveness that make the series so special.

My only nitpick is that the themes and issues felt a bit more news-of-the-day than previous installments, at times feeling like Vaughan crafted the story solely to serve the metaphor than let the metaphor serve the story. But Vaughan navigates those choppy waters with aplomb, and it makes for a story that seems to have more bite, than some of the previous trades which felt lackadaisical in places. It's a give and take I can take.

Can't wait for the next one.

Love, love, love this book! Just finished reading it and and will read it again at least one or two more times before the movie comes out 10/14/16. Can't wait for the movie even more so now! This book shines a light on so many topics that need to be not just recognized in our world today but they need to be addressed and in regards to human trafficking .. STOPPED!!! The "PRICELESS" movement that for King & Country promote and practice and challenge people with through their ministry and music is encouraging and inspiring. I am continually impressed with their ministry, their heart after God and heart for people! Love, love this book!!!

WE ARE PRICELESS IN HIS EYES

I just finished the book PRICELESS and I must say it was one book I couldn't put down. The subject of human trafficking is a story that needs to be told, not a pretty story, and I commend Joel and Luke Smallbone for telling it.
James Stevens, a man who had a good life until tragedy occurred and turned his life upside down. Feeling loss, staying angry, and becoming desperate, James takes on a job of driving a box truck across the country for a large sum of cash with no questions asked. The discovery of what his cargo is, takes him on a journey of saving the lives of two young women and countless others. You find a story of one man, James, who changes his way of thinking and finds his wavering faith that was lost. The characters are believable. I found myself pushing James along, even praying for him not to give up. His strength and determination kept me turning the pages to find the outcome. And his friend Dale, reminded me of a messenger from God helping James see his way. Antonia's faith in God and James to save her and Maria, unshakable. Will he make it in time to save these two? A love story unfolding within the pages of PRICELESS...a love not just between two people, but a love for others. A love that shows what it means to cherish, honor and respect another.
PRICELESS is a wake up call as to what is happening in our world, our country. The message from PRICELESS is this....we are ALL valuable in HIS eyes. And each and every one of are worthy of love and respect. One of my favorite lines from the book, "God knows that you're priceless."
I highly recommend reading PRICELESS and I'm looking forward to the movie.

Warning: it will make your stomach churn.

I don't write reviews unless it's for something that has bombed beyond belief and others should be warned, or has gone above and beyond expectations. And this has gone WAY beyond what I was expecting. It will churn your stomach, make your heart ache, and open your eyes to a world of hurt. But it will remind you that there is hope, and that someone does care. The story was incredible, and kept me going past midnight before I made myself put it down. And the ending was something better than what I was expecting. If you're looking for a romance story that makes you smile and feel good, this isn't for you. This is an eye opening, gut churning story about real life, and a guy who was given a second chance on life.

Dr. Neuenschwander has written the book I wish I could have read when I was learning mathematical physics. It is colloquial yet authoritative, with many treasures lurking within the chapters. The book brings a breath-taking cohesion to the varied ideas about vectors and tensors that are typically spread across the undergraduate’s school terms haphazardly. It is the book I’ll want to have nearby next time I teach special or general relativity, or upper-level electromagnetism or rotational dynamics, as much for the historical tidbits and definitive examples, as for its asides about vocabulary and conventions and for its bibliography.

Great Book and Good Material Seriously Flawed by Bad Printing -- Amazon needs to pull these copies as they are not usable.

I am yet another buyer of this book now returned to Amazon for refund. And, the reason is as others have said. The printing has serious and major flaws making the book totally unusable for study. But, from what I did read, I think it is an excellent book and it has all the merits of being great when these printing problems get fixed. I am writing this because Amazon needs to yank these printings of this book with the flaws from their shelves and save others from the disappointment and hassle of returning the book to Amazon. It would be nice if Amazon had some kind of alert system so that they can let us know when a fixed printing of the book is available.

The one-star review is unfortunate -- Amazon calls this level "I Hate It" -- but, I don't hate the book, just the flawed manufacture of the book!

Very quickly; this book may be the best introduction to tensors there is. However, earlier I had given the book 1 star based upon that particular printing which was unspeakably bad and which made the book unreadable. Therefore I had sent the book back to Amazon. I heard nothing from anybody about it but I noticed simply by using the "Look inside" feature that the printing had been corrected. I have now secured a second copy from Amazon which is perfect, and I needed to correct the record!

Defective book

Imagine a serious book on mathematics without equations! Almost EVERY equation has parts of it that are simply not printed. Certain letters in words are not printed either. There are simply gaps in words where letters would have gone. Defective book! Because others have had the same problem, I am asking for a refund.
